Stephen Nichols Murder Case – Rhonda Casto Eagle Creek Hiking Fall Death
Steve Nichols is fighting for his life. Thank you for your interest in his case
A Call for Witnesses by the Defense
Rhonda Casto fell from Eagle Creek Trail near Punch Bowl Falls east of Portland, and her boyfriend Steve Nichols was falsely accused of murder.
The fall and death at the Eagle Creek Trail happened on March 16, 2009, but the Hood River District Attorney waited five years to charge him with murder. This has potentially compromised the defense investigation. It turns out that memories get worse over time. As the seekers of the truth, we need every potential witness to come forward.
Were you hiking Eagle Creek Trail that day?
If so, we don’t care if you think you are a witness. No matter how insignificant your observations, the truth is important. Please call Steve Nichols’ lawyers at Arnold Law at 541-338-9111 or fill out the form to the left or the right.
Contribute to $200,000 Murder Case Bail
Visit the crowdsourcing site for bail contributions at FundedJustice.com. It is an injustice for Mr. Nichols to be incarcerated while he is presumed innocent. It is an injustice for him to be in jail after the government sought to prevent bail and after the judge found that the state did not meet its burden at the bail hearing of proving that a murder occurred.
