Rogelio “Roger” Cassol
Rogelio grew up in Klamath Falls, Oregon, where he attended high school and college. While enrolled at the Oregon Institute of Technology (OIT), he worked full time as a movie theater projectionist and served one term on the Student Senate and one term as President of the Associated Students of OIT. As a member of ASOIT he helped re-write the student constitution, a task that led Rogelio to take an interest in law.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and went on to a career as an Operations Manager for a mobile medical technology company. Rogelio worked in doctor’s offices and operation rooms all over Oregon, Washington and Idaho, aiding doctors in the use of laser and cryo-technology surgery.
Although he enjoyed working in the medical field, he chose to further his education and embark on a career in law. Rogelio came to Eugene to attend the University of Oregon Law School and became enamored with the city. After graduation from law school, Rogelio clerked for the Honorable Gregory Foote for one year. Thereafter he worked as an associate for Frohnmeyer Deatherage, et. al. in Medford, Oregon, handling insurance defense cases, family law matters and civil litigation.
He then returned to Eugene and as an associate for the former Malagon, Moore, & Jensen handling workers’ compensation matters from initial claim disputes and hearings through Court of Appeals briefings and oral arguments. Rogelio joined Arnold Law in January 2011 where he focuses on family law, criminal law, and civil litigation. Rogelio is comfortable and at ease in the courtroom and in resolution discussions.
Rogelio employs a direct and upfront practice style. He believes the outcome of cases is based on the amount of time and effort devoted to the matter. Rogelio believes in arming his clients with honest analysis and counsel, so the client has all the information necessary to make the decision.
Rogelio is a past Co-Chair of the Lane County Bar Association’s New Member Committee. He is an avid runner—having completed 4 marathons and 4 half-marathons, and plays recreational soccer. He enjoys good television and bad movies.
He devotes much of his free time to volunteer activities through his work with the Active 20-30 Club of Eugene, providing time, money, and effort to such organizations as Pearl Buck Center, Candlelighters for Children with Cancer, A Family for Every Child, the Relief Nursery, and Courageous Kids to name a few. Rogelio has recently served as President and Past President of the Active 20-30 Club of Eugene.
