Rogelio grew up in Klamath Falls, Southern Oregon. He attended the Oregon Institute of Technology (OIT) and earned a BS in Health Sciences. At college he served one term on the Student Senate and one term as President of the student body.

After college he began a career as a technician for mobile medical technology company, assisting doctors in the use of laser and cryo-technology surgery.

In 2004, Rogelio decided on a second career and enrolled at the University of Oregon School of Law. Upon graduation, he clerked for the Honorable Gregory Foote before working in private practice.

Rogelio has experience litigating insurance defense cases, civil litigation, personal injury and workers compensation. However, the focus of his practice is devoted to Family Law and Criminal Law.

Rogelio is comfortable and at ease in the courtroom and in resolution discussions, He has a direct and upfront style. He believes the outcomes are based on time and effort. Rogelio believes in arming his clients with honest analysis and counsel, so the client has all the information necessary to make the best decision for their needs.

Rogelio is a past Co-Chair of the Lane County Bar Association’s New Member Committee and was recognized as a 20 Under 40 Rising Business Star in 2013. In 2017 he was named a Rising Star by Superlawyers.

Rogelio stays active when he is not advocating for clients. When he’s not in the courtroom you can find him running on the Ruth Bascom River trails or helping create new SCUBA divers at Sheldon Pool, Woahink Lake or the North Jetty in Florence as a PADI Divemaster.

Rogelio believes in making a difference in his community and has served as a former President of the Active 20-30 Club of Eugene and is serving a three-year term as Director for the Active 20-30 Foundation Board. He is the Co-Chair of the Membership and Engagement Committee for Eugene Southtowne Rotary and has volunteered for the Pearl Buck Center, Candlelighters for Children with Cancer, A Family for Every Child, the Relief Nursery, Courageous Kids, and the Eugene Mission.
